Reigning in the Abundance of Grace

 CHRIST IS ENOUGH
Song by Hillsong Worship

Christ is my reward and all of my devotion
Now there's nothing in this world that could ever satisfy
Through every trial my soul will sing
No turning back I've been set free

Christ is enough for me Christ is enough for me
Everything I need is in You
Everything I need

Christ my all in all the joy of my salvation
And this hope will never fail heaven is our home
Through every storm my soul will sing
Jesus is here to God be the glory

I have decided to follow Jesus
No turning back, no turning back
I have decided to follow Jesus
No turning back, no turning back

The cross before me the world behind me
No turning back, no turning back
The cross before me the world behind me
No turning back, no turning back

Intro – Reigning in the Abundance of Grace

Romans 5:17 For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ. (NKJV)

Grace (Gk. charis), the unmerited, undeserved favor of God toward men, is the reality of what Christ has accomplished on the cross.

Throughout the Old Testament, God repeatedly showed undeserved favor. Iba lamang ang paraan kung paano ito inihayag ng Diyos: God clothed Adam and Eve after they sinned; Noah “found grace in the eyes of the Lord”; God chose Abraham, not because Abraham earned or deserved it; God repeatedly forgave Israel despite their rebellion. Grace is God’s saving action revealed in Christ!

God’s grace is more than enough for us; it is more than sufficient to overcome the effects of sin or any circumstances in our lives. Sufficiency means Christ is enough regardless of circumstances.

The abundance of grace does not only bring salvation, it produces a righteous living (because of Christ’s righteousness in us). It empowers believers to say NO to ungodliness (sin).

By grace, we also experience the generosity and provision of God. God cares and provides for the needs of His people. Take note of the purpose of God’s abundant grace: “that you may about unto every good work”. A person’s worth is not measured by what they own; true abundance is found in a relationship with God. The believer’s greatest wealth is Christ Himself!
